So for the last couple of weeks I’ve had the itch to go out and try a couple of new idea’s that have been running around in my head for awhile. I finally decided that today was the day and asked Julie and her sister Fina to come with me to see if I could finally get those ideas out of my head and into my memory card. Now before I go any further I should add that a very important part of my idea was the location. I had a specific location in mind and was dead set on going there because the atmosphere was perfect for the type of shot that I had wanted. Unfortunately for us; however, while we were waiting for the perfect light we ended up arriving after the location had already closed for the day! Though I was extremely disappointed about that, we were still able to drive around for a bit and found this great spot in Newport Beach with just enough light left in the day to get a few shots in.

Though if you’re wondering, these shots aren’t the shots that have been running around in my head for the last few weeks. Since the location didn’t fit the theme, I wanted to try and get some shots that I could cross process for fun and came up with the photos below. Though I should add that once the clouds rolled in and killed the light that I had wanted for my cross processing, I pulled out the flash and got that last shot that you see below.

In the end I still had a good time shooting today so I hope you enjoy these shots as much as I enjoyed shooting them.
